A few notes on how A Plus Nursing came to be — and what we've held onto since.
We started this from the floor.
A Plus Nursing was founded by Nurses — clinicians with more than ten years of combined experience across hospitals, residential aged care and the community. People who'd seen, first-hand, what happens when the staffing isn't right.
We started the company to fix one thing: when a facility, a participant or a family needs a reliable healthcare worker, they should be able to get one. Not after three phone calls. Not after a runaround. Just one phone call, a confirmed worker, and the work getting done.
That's still the brief. The rest of what we do — the screening framework, the documentation, the 24/7 on-call line, the no-management-fees policy, the willingness to take 2-hour bookings when that's what fits the participant — exists to make that brief deliverable, week after week, without theatre.
We currently work with clients across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, supporting residential aged care facilities, hospitals, NDIS participants and families. We've grown by holding the same standard we set on day one, and that's not changing.
